We had a lot of fun on this excursion! Dress warm so you can sit outside and see more. We did this as part of our cruise tour so we were given lunch. They have a gift shop and photo opportunities. The staff were great and showed us so many cool places. Would definitely recommend it if in the area.

What a great boat tour! This was so much more than any boat tour we have ever been on. All of the staff are amazing, whether they were on the boat or in the gift shop or checking in. Parking was great and they have an area for those who have an RV. Bathrooms in the building were spotless. The narrator was spectacular. Everyone received coffee and a donut on board the Discovery III. There was water also available. The galley had soft drinks with or without ice, as well as other items. The gift shop in board was great and I was able to pick up another souvenir (I already bought items in the store before we left). If you buy something in the store they will hold it for you while you are on the boat. The fish camp, guided tour, float plane demo, dog sled demo, were all amazing. On the way back, everyone was treated to a sockeye salmon dip on crackers. Delicious!! There is so much more I could say, but you just need to go and have a fantastic time like we did.

I didn’t know what to expect but this excursion was a delight. The young man who narrated had the perfect β€˜radio’ voice which was the perfect complement to all the highlights he pointed out as we progressed down the river. It was better than a Disney ride because they people and demonstrations all the river were all real! Excellent dip into history with visuals. Well worth it. The salmon dip offered on the way back was excellent. Highly recommend.

We had such an great time. I came with the holiday vacations tour group. We did the panning for gold and riverboat and it was one of the most fun days we had on our trip. If I had planned an Alaska trip on my own, I probably would not have booked this but I'm so glad we did it! Also the smokes salmon dip was amazing. The lunch was really, really good too. Way better than I was expecting. Staff was incredibly friendly.

What an amazing tour! Very professionally organized even though boat holds sooo many people it didn’t feel crowded. Down the river you will see amazing views and the story teller is very professional, all of them are. All staff were friendly and organized. The stops at native village was very interesting! So much history to learn about life of native people. I highly recommend this tour! And the souvenir store offers so many options for clothing, souvenirs, magnets and everything else at very reasonable prices! They have very nice clothes here, good quality.

Very pleased and surprised by how well done this tour is! The free coffee and doughnuts were a fun treat and the commentator was excellent. The dog sled demo and getting to pet the dogs at the village was the real star of the show! The living history museum and guides were wonderful and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend if you’re in Fairbanks!

Absolutely a blast! I mean I live in Alaska and did this tour for the fun of it. Very well put together tour all around. From the Bush Plane show while on the boat, to Susan Butcher's dogs and a preserved Chena Native Fish Camp that you get off and enjoy the camp and the dogs! Highly recommend this to tourists and any out-of-state house guests.
