What beautifully maintained grounds. The flowers are beautiful. The tour via golf cart takes about an hour. The guides are very knowledgeable and informative regarding all the different plants, flowers etc. the gift shop is small with lots of reasonably priced items. There is also a small cafe for light snack and drinks. There is a walking trail if you prefer to walk. Recommend for all ages.

Excellent old growth Rainforest garden and the guided tours of the rainforest were very educational. The view from the top of the mountain is wonderful and I understand that it is one of the best of the Juneau area. I was amazed at the knowledge of the local staff. You need to try the hot chocolate at the gift shop. I don’t drink coffee, but I am a certified cocoa connoisseur. Their serving was the best that I drank on my whole Alaska vacation, cruise and road trip.

It's a nice hike or golf cart ride to some beautiful views of Juneau. The idea is crazy! A garden shop owner buys woodland property that suffered a landslide and then landscapes a wonderland. This was another recommendation from locals. It was worth the time. You definitely need to call before you trek out there. They were closing early that day. The owner is this 67-year-old guy who is still maintaining and planning and creating something special. It's great to see the beauty he's brought into the world.

If I could, I would give a 4.5. A bit pricy but an enjoyable time. The views at the top are spectacular. The flower displays at the greenhouse/entrance were lovely. Tour guide did a nice job explaining things. Reminded me a bit of Olympic National Park.

First the pros: Very interesting story regarding this property. I’m so impressed with what the owner has done. We really loved hearing the backstory. The vegetation is beautiful and varied as well. Now the cons: This property is set up as a cruise ship destination. Which means bus loads of day trippers come here for the tour. We were not from a cruise ship as we were staying in Juneau. But we were herded like cattle for the tour. They have large golf cart that takes everyone to the top of the property. Everyone is jockeying for a spot on the carts. Not a very relaxing experience. Once on the golf cart the driver gave a monotone and disinterested commentary. I have to agree with the other reviews regarding the staff. They were knowledgeable but not friendly. We weren’t subject to outright rudeness but you can tell that the staff just tolerates you being there. All in all we are happy that we went and kudos to the owner for what he has done. Just keep your expectations in check before you go.

Glacier Gardens was a pleasant surprise! The gardens are lush and beautiful, and you get a gorgeous panoramic view of Juneau from the top of the mountain at an elevation of 580 feet. Our guide, Deb, was awesome!

The Glacier Rainforest Adventure was a memorable experience! We rode up in golf carts and enjoyed the scenic mountainous drive while learning some local history from our driver. The Upside Down Trees stop was interesting, though the staff were a bit rude but it was manageable. To top it off, we enjoyed a warm cup of Nissin ramen at the end. A fun and unique adventure overall!

10 out of 10. Would recommend. A lot of the flowers were not planted yet due to cold weather. But what we did see was beautiful. Very unique garden and trip up the mountain.

This was a bit of an odd trip. We got there and you are driven up to the top of the property, where there is a fantastic lookout. On the way up you gets verbal tour of the gardens, it's 90% just stuff in the forest they point out, mixed with corny jokes. You get a solid 60 seconds at the lookout before they force you back down to the main entrance again. When you are done the ride you can wander the grounds and see more of the garden, it's ok. Gift shop is ok. Wouldn't come again. They really just churn people through as fast as possible
