Disappointed by the Experience – Cleanliness and Service Need Serious Improvement We stayed at Quality Inn Bathurst for an overnight visit before an important medical appointment for my son at the nearby hospital. We chose this hotel based on the hospital’s recommendation, expecting a restful and comfortable stay—but unfortunately, our experience was far from that. Cleanliness: 0 The room was in very poor condition. The carpet was so sticky we had to wear slippers at all times just to feel comfortable. Even worse, there were bugs in the room—my children noticed several inside the bathroom. This level of cleanliness is simply unacceptable. Service: While I initially tried to overlook the condition of the room, the behavior of one staff member made things worse. I was making waffles for my family at breakfast when she abruptly told me to stop halfway through because someone else was going to use it. Her tone was rude and dismissive, and it felt completely uncalled for. We were just trying to have a peaceful meal before a very important day for our family. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience compelled me to speak up so others are aware. We came to Bathurst looking for rest and peace of mind before my son's cochlear implant activation—but instead, we left feeling disrespected and stressed. I sincerely hope the management takes feedback like this seriously, for the sake of future guests.

**Warning** Don’t leave valuables in your vehicle. The hotel itself was great and good value. The room was clean, the breakfast was good with constant cleaning and refreshing of food supplies. It’s a little far from the downtown and entertainment/restaurants. During the night, someone tried to cut our bikes off our bike rack. Luckily we had 3 quality bike locks and only 1 was actually cut. We also have a locking bike rack and in the end they were not able to get the bikes off the rack. We were parked out front of the hotel and in-front of the camera so we thought it would be safe. Front desk was very apologetic and offered to replace bike lock. According to staff, there have been an increasing number of thefts and attempted thefts in vehicles in the hotel parking lot. Take precautions!

The hotel staff were very professional and helpful. The room and bathroom were very clean. Some of the furniture was dated but the bed and pillows were comfortable. The airconditioning unit could probably be fixed as it couldn't keep the room cool enough during the day (no issue when the outside temperature dropped in the evening). Breakfast was okay and there were a number of choices available. But do stay away from the eggs (they're powdered eggs) as they tasted bland. While the hotel is on a major street, we never heard any noise from our room. The hotel is also close to a gas station, a few restaurants, a major grocery store and some convenience stores. Downtown Bathurst is not very far if you want to explore the area a bit.

Looking at the other 'poor' reviews there is a common theme - staff are rude and dismissive. That was my experience as well. Ruined the entire stay for me. Stayed down the road st the Best Western. Far better option for service cleanliness and food. Do not waste your time with this incredibly disappointing hotel.
