We recently stayed at Land's End with friends in Lodge/condo Room 711 (2 king beds and 1 queen bed). When we were researching to book, we realized that this would end up being the same price or cheaper than 3 separate hotel rooms for our party of 6 adults. We had so much space to spread out and socialize and privacy for each set of 3 couples, with bedroom suites on each of 3 floors. The elder couple in our group took the smaller queen bed and room on the first floor. This is not an accessible room though, as there are a number of entry stairs to get to the main floor from outside. There were great views of the bay and so much room to stretch out and relax, plus a full kitchen! We regretted only booking 2 nights and looked to see if we could change our other plans to possibly stay an extra night, but unfortunately we were not able to. We all just loved this hotel and its location and were already making plans to come back before we'd even left. I would've probably put in an offer to buy this place if it had been for sale ๐Ÿ˜‚. ***I thought I should include an addendum that I did not personally interact with the hotel or staff at all. My friend handled the reservation and check-in/ out process. I never even set foot inside the lobby so I can't speak to the quality of the staff or hotel amenities. So my rating is for our specific room and the location/ outside grounds.***

This is a quirky place with idiosyncratic management. Not bad but โ€ฆ interesting. My first-floor king room was good. Small but good seating and a picture window with outstanding view of the bay and snow-capped Kenai mountains. Lots of โ€ฆ

Let me start with positives: Location offers incredible scenery, views are spectacular, beds are comfortable and the restaurant provides delicious food. Negatives: when we checked in, we were told our room was halfway between entrances 1 and 2. Parking was available at entrance 2 so that's the entrance we used. We had to traverse the entire hallway to our room. Turns out we were the first room at entrance 1. I believe the front desk staff should have a better understanding of the hotel layout. There were several dead flies on the windowsill.

Land's End rooms that face the water have amazing views. However, you are a bit of a hike away from dining/shopping on the spit. The in-house restaurant does an ok buffet breakfast but it's not worth $20 as a walk-in. Dinner is good! Plentiful towels, hot water and soft beds.

Rooms: Room had a hours smell, we had to sleep with the windows open. Rather smell fish and ocean, then sewer. Bathroom had hair on the seats, stains in the towels, and the shower drained so slow it would take 5 minutes with the water off to drain. Service: The service was alright, some grumpy employees. We got what we asked for, but felt like we were a bother to them. We paid to much to be treated less than. Location: The location was amazing. Every morning waking up to the ocean noise, the windy breeze. Such beautiful sunrise and sunsets! Wasnโ€™t loud, and just a perfect location! Everything to see in Homer is a walking distance away. Food, gifts, crafts, woodwork, etc. all there! Restaurant: Very pricy, and the food tastes so mid. Like going to a Golden Corral. The staff are super friendly, but never really around to be seen. We saw our waitress twice, once to get us drinks, and second to give us our plates of food. After 13 minutes of sitting there, no one to check on us (with empty plates) we didnโ€™t feel like ordering a dessert. So I got up, walked to a new employee and asked for our check to be brought to us. That same waiter billed us ($250 for two entree and 1 side) and then we walked out. So I give the restaurant a 1 star. Not writing review to talk crap on a business, just writing a review so traveling folks know where and where not to waste their money. Hopefully someone finds this helpful!

Wonderful weekend getaway - only thing I didn't like was when signing up for our private hot tub time, I had to miss almost 20 minutes of our hour waiting on the previous people to exit the single person dressing room (they were a minor, and there was no way to give them privacy and not be exposed to the door as it opened). They also let other people in early to our hot tub which really negates having sign ups for private time. I really did not want to share the tub - and especially with squealing children.

My family stopped here after a day on a halibut fishing charter. So a few of us had the Halibut fish and chips dish. Perfectly cooked with a tasty, zesty tartar sauce. Everyone loved their food. It was all pretty pricey but worth it. The staff, service and food was all top-notch. Thanks for a wonderful time!

Land's End was the perfect location for our Homer weekend getaway. The stunning bay views right from our room window were incredible day and night, and being able to walk directly along the shore was fantastic. Our room was comfortable, featuring a gorgeous, updated bathroom. One downside: the drink machine took our money without working, and there was no "out of service" sign. It seems some amenities are aging and slowly being updated. Overall, highly recommended for the unbeatable views and location โ€“ just be prepared that a few facilities might need attention.

The rooms were very nice and clean. I had a great view of the waterfront. There was a lot of noise overnight. The grab and go breakfast was useful although you must wait on line for a while when it is busy. In addition there is construction going on .

This hotel is located at the very end of the Homer Spit, can't beat the location! Our room was large with a separate living room area that had a couch and chair, mini fridge, an additional TV, window seat and beachside balcony. The one โ€ฆ
