| Job Description : | JOB DESCRIPTIONPOSITION: Artist UNIT: IIPOSITION #: 5500-2ART GRADE: 6LOCATION: 15 New England WayPOSITION SUMMARY: Designs variety of original subject material such as etched ornaments and collectibles, two and three dimensional, and other etched items such as bookmarks, jewelry and/or jewelry findings etc. by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Conceives and develops ideas for etched items, based on assignment byGraphics Manager.Executes designs per customer’s specifications or other sources via computer assisted designing and photographic technologies which are consistent with the photo-etching process.Integrates and develops visual elements such as line, space, mass, color and perspective to produce desired effect.Interprets customer’s sketches and/or finished artwork in accordance with the parameters of the etching process.Applies design standards for integral elements of the product, such as tab dimension, slot size, dapping bars, etc. which are used in assembly stages of the manufacturing process.Applies design standards for achieving accurate line weights which will consistently etch per the customer’s specification.Designs and executes photo prototype which is used in sample generation, and in tool making process.Approves and assembles all samples before shipment to customer.Prepares and executes silk-screen masks which are used in applying color to designated areas of the product during the manufacturing process.Demonstrates knowledge of and is compliant to ISO 9001 principles and specific sections which apply to this job function.Conforms to all department standard operating procedures.Proficient design skills in illustrator.Additional skills that are preferred, not required, would be experience inPhotoshop, InDesign, Keyshot and/or Rhino.___________________________________________________________________________________All ChemArt employees will adhere to and be compliant with the principles and mandates of the ISO 9001:2008 standard, the LEAN Initiative, and all regulations, statues, and standards applicable to or expressly adopted by ChemArt.ChemArt Company reserves the right to amend this document and/or the employee’s duties at its sole discretion.Job Types: Full-time, TemporaryPay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Graphic design: 1 year (Preferred)Adobe Creative Suite: 1 year (Preferred)Adobe Illustrator: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location |
