Overview: FEDITC is seeking Graphic Artist to work in the Warren, MI area. A United States Citizenship and an active NACI Clearance is required to be considered for this position. The Graphic Artist works with the courseware production team to design and develop graphic/visual effects used in courseware material. This position requires the use of specialized computer software to develop high quality computer illustrations, technical drawings, and animations supporting various media used within the training curriculum. In this position utilization of specialized hardware and/or software for video/audio capture and editing of multimedia presentations, incorporates principles of layout design throughout the courseware production process, and is responsible for quality control, review and revision of all aspects of graphics development. Responsibilities: Develop Government briefing packages, documentation packages, spread sheets, word documents, certificates and awards. Perform work involved in communicating information through visual means. Work includes the design and display of such visual materials as photographs, illustrations, diagrams, graphs, objects, models, slides, and charts used in books, magazines, pamphlets, exhibits, live or video recorded speeches or lectures, and other means of communicating. Select visual materials such as photographs, illustrations, models, and specimens to be used in the communication of information; design the placement and appearance of visual materials; design the placement of text in relation to art; decide type styles and typographical effects; and plan effective use of color schemes, textures, and shapes considering the technical constraints of a particular method of communication (i.e., printed publication, exhibit, or oral presentation). Some exhibits may involve the incorporation of sound effects, movies, video productions, and music into the total design. Produce presentations using the entire suite of MS office products, photo downloading and editing, audio and video production. Convert vague concepts, descriptions and ideas into draft presentation material and then finalize the material for packaging and presentation. Store presentations in logical folders such that the materials can be easily accessed. The contractor photograph and video record events using the latest state of the art equipment provided by the contractor and store, edit, package, and replay the recorded data. Provide these services for PM and PD events such as retirements, town halls, change of commands, ribbon cuttings and other similar ceremonies. Other support duties as needed/directed. Experience/Skills: Three (3) cumulative years of industry work experience (within the last 5 year period) in creating and generating visual graphics (photographs, illustrations, diagrams, graphs, objects, models, printed and digital media, and exhibits) using computer graphics software. Three (3) years’ experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and the Adobe software suite (Acrobat Professional, In Design, Illustrator, and Photoshop) Education: A bachelor’s degree in an applicable field plus one full academic year of graduate education in the specialized field*; or A bachelor’s degree in a specialized field* plus 3 years of applicable experience; or, A bachelor’s degree in any field with a minimum of 5 years of specialized experience. *Specialized Degree Field: Business Graphic Design/Marketing or related field. *Specialized/applicable experience must be in the area of Business Graphic Design/Marketing or related field. Clearance: Active NACI Security Clearance is required. Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check. Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITCS Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
