Job Description :	The largest little screen printing shop in Southwest Michigan is currently seeking a Graphic Artist to join our team! The clientele is diverse, from family reunion organizers to baseball leagues, school spirit wear, summer camps, restaurants, breweries, etc. Every job is a little different, and orders can range from single pieces to thousands. We’re not only purveyors of printed garments; we also supply embroidery, decals, signs, banners, and various promotional products. In this role, you will be creating eye-catching designs for a variety of media (though mostly printed apparel), as well as preparing designs for print and operating the large-format printer and cutter.Here at Lazer Graphics, we deal with custom, made-to-order goods, so every detail of an order is extremely important. The ideal candidate must be prepared to follow established guidelines to ensure that every detail of every order is clear and correct and on course to meet our customers’ expectations and deadlines.The ideal applicant:Must have expert level Adobe Illustrator (PC) skills – Sorry, there are no exceptions to this. Creating and modifying exciting vector art designs should be second nature.Feels at home in a fast-pace environment, where drop-free juggling and constant reevaluation of priorities are a normal and expected part of everyday life.Owns the ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone, and in writing.Can take sometimes-incomplete specs from a client and fill any gaps using artistic liberty + knowledge of screen printing trends to compete a job for review.Is comfortable at standing workstations for long periods of time (you would be the primary operator for the large format printer/cutter).Has a current valid driver’s license and is willing to make occasional customer deliveries and help with other misc. tasks when needed.Is not satisfied if a job doesn’t look perfect – If you’re putting your name on something, you want it to be awesome!Helpful Pluses:Some social media marketing experienceGood working knowledge of PhotoshopGeneral PC knowledgeExperience creating designs and logos for apparelExperience with the screen printing processIt does help to have some sort of love of team sports because that is a large part of our clientele.This position is 30-40 hours per week on average.Please read thoroughly: This job cannot be done remotely.
