The Graphic Designer (GD) will work partly at glue-hq in NYC and partly remote to cultivate the look, design, and feel of glue projects in the live event industry. The GD works with production, design, and marketing teams as needed to conceive of & manage the execution of design elements on assigned projects
a day in the life of glue’s Graphic Designers:
Here’s what they do:
Adapt to many circumstances & respond efficiently to a very wide variety of design requests from multiple sources
Gather images, creating and curating the look of mood boards to visually tell a story
Transform client ideas into original design concepts that align with the project’s brief and specific deliverables
Support production teams by assisting with graphic design & production needs for projects including; client-facing presentations/documents, print graphics, social media assets and branded product mock-ups.
Adjust or recreate design files not initially set-up for their correct output (i.e. file proofing)
Learn productionglue’s brand guidelines and be a “brand champion” maintaining brand consistency throughout projects
Play an integral part of the pitch concept & presentation design for RFP responses
Mock-up ideas quickly & produce highly polished assets for client presentations
Work onsite leading graphics installation teams on selected projects

glue Graphic Designers have skills
Here’s what’s required:
A degree in graphic design or related field and/or minimum of 3 years of experience
Strong knowledge of core live event industry elements, terms, and process
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop required, After Effects, XD a plus
Application of color theory & matching to Color Books for print & screen
Expert in Presentation Design, especially in Keynote, Google Slides and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of Slack, Zoom a plus
Familiarity with cloud storage platforms and ability to adopt/abide by established file management processes
Capable of tracking one’s time on project work accurately within a web-based time tracking application and submitting weekly timesheets
Familiarity with print production process & file setup standards/requirements
Demonstrated ability to create graphic assets for both print & screen
Knowledge of print vendors (NYC & beyond) a plus
Willingness to work outside of normal 9-5 business hours and on weekends
