WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
Champion design system thinking and collaborate with Email Developers and Engineers on a new tool for Marketers to accurately render email designs
Build into the existing email template system, ensuring that design components and back-end code are synonymous
Build out thorough documentation and design specs for Designers and Developers that demonstrate meticulous attention to information hierarchy, layout, typography and consistent spacing.
Understand technical constraints, incorporates user experience methodologies in all design work and be comfortable expressing and recommending tradeoffs on design decisions
Set the Design team up for success by routinely updating and optimizing the Figma component library
Stay up to date on latest Figma app updates and how it affects our design system template structure and identify areas for improvement
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
Bachelor’s degree in Design
5+ years’ experience as a Designer
Knowledge of best practices for responsive email design
Understanding of the design process, and how Designers work with Marketers and Engineers
Solid design and typography skills
Expertise with Figma. Proficiency with Illustrator and Photoshop
Strong communication and the ability to articulate your design decisions
Time management skills and ability to prioritize
