We are looking for a creative, innovative Graphic Designer who will concept and design creative for marketing initiatives across digital display, website, email, direct mail and in-store signage. This individual works closely with the Sr. Creative Manager and Copywriter to ensure messaging is compelling, on-brand and cohesive across all communications. This role will require conceptual thinking, a creative expertise, an ability to work as a team as well as independently and an ability to meet tight deadlines. Concepts and designs static and animated graphic files for digital, print and Ecommerce use. Work closely with Creative Manager, Ecommerce and Merchandising Teams to uphold appropriate positioning, brand voice and personality. Maintain brand voice/identity throughout all executions. Contribute new ideas, while ensuring thematic look, creative direction, messaging, quality and details are consistent across all creative. Work with marketing, external teams and developers to ensure designs are aligned with digital and interactive best practices. Provides creative expertise and inspiration for graphic design and production. Works closely with Marketing Manager on email campaigns, A/B testing and evergreen outreach for messaging to Jordan’s Furniture loyal customers. Creates new events, new product introductions, vendor promotions across all social networks. Ensures design requests/changes and technical specifications are met and delivered on time. Translates wireframes into simple, easy-to-use User Interfaces based on UI/UX best practices. Based on tracked results, improves technical and visual design of all web communication pieces. Works with the creative team to generate new concepts and refine ideas through visual exploration. Provides additional design support to Marketing Team as needed. Acts as a brand steward for the Jordan’s Furniture organization. Stays current with design industry trends and techniques; monitor retail, fashion and furniture news, competition and trends; act as a thought leader for organization and marketing team. Digital Graphic Designer graphics for web Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent 5+ years in retail or agency environment with digital / web production experience A current portfolio that demonstrates digital production and/or digital design experience Design background and proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) Basic knowledge of After Effects or web animation software preferred Extensive experience designing for web-optimized graphics, photo retouching skills a plus; Solid understanding of web graphics, including image optimization, file size, and type/ font use Must have a comprehensive understanding and be able to navigate current web technologies (HTML/CSS, JavaScript/jQuery) and how they affect creative Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a tight deadline environment Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with people of various backgrounds, personality traits and levels of authority Excellent problem solving and resourcefulness Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written Happy, healthy employees are our goal and our benefits help J-Team members balance physical, financial, professional, social and emotional well-being.
