Job Description : The Graphic Designer II, Customer Communication/Internal will be a key supporting role for the Creative Group and marketing team. This person will help bring marketing stories to fruition by helping them get from ideation and planning phases through to production. The person will be asked to work on a range of creative projects that communicate out to our existing customers (email, direct mail, welcome materials), this collateral is many times the first experience a customer will have with Consumer Cellular once they have switched their service. This role will also support our internal teams, such as Recruiting, HR, and Employee Experience with communication. The Graphic Designer II will supervise a team of up to two designers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with creative team members and the guiderails of the Consumer Cellular brand book to create concepts, designs, and layouts based on principles of design. Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type
Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering necessary information and materials. Plan concepts by studying information and materials
Develop graphics for product illustrations and advertisements, internal company materials, and websites
Manage a calendar and workflow to meet deadlines and expectations, as well as attending scheduled meetings
Complete projects by coordinating with others on marketing staff, creative team members, and internal support departments
Maintain ongoing technical knowledge by reviewing professional trade publications, attending design workshops, participating in professional societies, etc.
Provide feedback on color and content on printed proofs from vendors and attend regular press checks in and around the Portland area
Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or other relevant professionally-related field
4-6 years design experience, preferably in consumer products/services
Proven ability to perform and apply design skills – including typography, ideation, color theory, use of texture, spacing, scale, visual presentation, and layout
Expertise using creative software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and technology with ability to produce electronic files for production purposes
Experience in print production, including preflight, proofing, and press checks
Experience in digital communication (email, SMS)
Ability to manage multiple work priorities; deadline-oriented
Presentation software (PowerPoint, Keynotes) abilities
Proactivity and resourcefulness
Attention to detail
