We’re looking for a Footwear Graphic Designer II to combine their experience, problem solving abilities, and creativity to bring to life the seasonal creative narratives through graphic design that is trend relevant to the consumer across performance and lifestyle footwear. As a NIKE Graphic Designer, you bring an ability to blend cutting-edge sensibility with athlete-inspired design. You are the type of person who walks into each meeting with a notebook full of doodles and you often find inspiration in the most unlikely of places. You can work creatively and collaboratively, you have proven your design chops, and you can design innovative and collection based footwear, apparel and head wear graphics that tell a cohesive story, head to toe! Includes original concepts, selection of appropriate materials and techniques, and modifications to ensure manufacturability. This role requires advanced design skills to create original graphic and/or textile designs that appropriately reflect Nike’s design ethos. Effectively uses computerized systems in design process. Provides appropriate materials to designers, developers, account managers, and/or graphic separators for the creation of separations, embroidery, and trims. For textiles, produces textile repeats for production purposes. Works with design management and category team members in design, development, and merchandising to ensure feasibility of designs, meeting price points, merchandising needs, product creation dates/gates are met, design tools are effectively utilized, and cross-functional teamwork occurs as appropriate. Creates graphics that are Industry leading, trend right and that consistently incorporate consumer/athlete insights through powerful storytelling, emotional connectivity and relevance. Communicates and presents design concepts; produces presentation materials in conjunction with design and activity teams that effectively communicate the concept behind the line for internal and external audiences. Builds awareness of current trends, color, technology, and sport-related products through research and travel. Works with design management and/or more senior designers to actively gain experience, enhance design skills, and increase knowledge of Nike’s design philosophy, products, and processes.
