Summary:
The Graphic Designer is responsible for the layout, design and production of a variety of communication vehicles such as advertisements, digital media, brochures, newsletters, web pages, logos, signs, photographs, stationery, invitations, flyers and presentations in support of marketing, educational and communications functions of Covenant HealthCare. This person will work within and contribute to a collaborative team approach.

Responsibilities:
Provides graphic design services to Covenant HealthCare and its subsidiaries to develop effective graphic design communication solutions.
Work closely with teammates and clients to design and produce visual collateral to be used in print and interactive advertisements, displays, brochures, manuals and booklets, web pages, presentations, graphs, photographs, flowcharts, signs, and other communication/promotional materials.
Provides visual support for social media initiatives, digital media, multimedia productions.
Maintain records and organize projects in conjunction with the graphic design and production specialist. This will include tracking expenses, obtaining production quotes, preparing materials for print and archiving projects and images. Efficiently learn and utilize the Planning & Business Development project management software.
Proof work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Complete work in accordance with corporate brand standards.
Serve as a key member of the Covenant marketing and communications teams and play an active role in the communication and branding processes for the organization.
Remains proficient in graphic design and communication arts techniques.
Operates and maintains technology such as computers, scanners, digital cameras, lighting, copiers, printers, and related software applications.
Manages and meets all associated deadlines, and balances priorities.
Participate in departmental budget planning processes, evaluate current and proposed projects, monitor expenditure rates and make funding recommendations.
Maintains a solid understanding of HIPAA guidelines and ensures all communications comply with the stated requirements.
Maintains confidentiality.
Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively and work with others to accomplish goals.
Participate in professional activities and maintain professional affiliations to keep abreast of trends/changes in the field.
Provide ongoing support of other Planning & Business Development initiatives as directed.
Demonstrates excellent customer service, upholding the Covenant “We Care” values.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (extensive experience of 8 years or more in a related field may be considered as an alternate to the degree requirement).
A minimum of three to five years work-related and/or demonstrated skill and artistic ability required.
Healthcare or corporate communication experience is helpful.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Previous practical experience in graphic design and/or communication arts required.
Considerable knowledge of graphic design, photography technology and corporate communication required.
Demonstrate accountability, ability to work under minimal supervision, make independent decisions and provide consultative advice using excellent interpersonal verbal communication skills.
Strong design, communications, and production skills.
Ability to create engaging collateral, tailored to a variety of audiences and platforms.
Must be motivated and detail oriented.
Ability to exercise sound judgement and handle confidential information and sensitive issues appropriately.
Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks at one time.
Ability to manage projects within budgets and deadlines.
Ability to exercise sound judgement and handle confidential/sensitive issues and information.
Knowledge of healthcare is helpful, but not required.
Ability to write and edit content is a plus.
