Job Description : POSITION SUMMARY:
D.C. United are looking for a Graphic Designer to support all club communication and marketing efforts (including digital, print, in-stadium, promotionl, etc.). The chosen candidate must be a team player who understands the importance of communication and adhering to deadlines. Creativity, hard work, a positive attitude, and dedication are musts. This position will report to the Senior Graphic Designer.
This position will be required to work some nights and weekends, depending on matchday schedule and workload, while also working in-person at Audi Field during home matches as tasked by the Senior Graphic Designer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with the Communications and Content department to help D.C. United better connect with the club’s diverse fanbase through our design work
Work matchdays alongside Communications and Content team to update graphic assets for social properties
Design original creative elements
Adapt design elements to extende the club brand throughout all collateral
Design projects that may include, but are not limited to:
Direct mail (postcards, brochures, self-mailers)
Social media content
Digital and print ads
E-mail marketing components
Online assets (e.g., banner ads, pop-ups, and other design elements)
Sponsorship elements
Proposal decks
Promotional items
Internal communication pieces
Maintain projects through precise proofing of materials
Work on multiple design projects at a given time and execute them promptly
Perform other duties as assigned by the department
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
2+ years of work experience in graphic design or related field
Portfolio demonstrating a strong understanding of design principles, visual design, layout, and typography.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is necessary. Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign a must, After Effects, Camera Raw preferred
Proven ability to uphold brand and style guidelines. (Experience working for major brands is a plus.)
Experience in sports is preferred
You must provide proof of COVID-19 Vaccination prior to start date.

Must be able to edit and color correct photography
Must possess an excellent design sense
Must be able remain comfortable yet energetic in the creative process
Must demonstrate a high level of detail-orientation, especially under deadline pressure
Must display organization and communicative skills
Must be flexible in working hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
Must possess a strong ability to manage one’s own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives
Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use upmost discretion when privy to sensitive information
Must be flexible & reliable team player, both within own department and within company as a whole.
