Job Opening for Graphic Designer in Haslam Sports Group (Columbus, OH 43211)

The Columbus Crew are seeking a Graphic Designer for our Marketing Department. The ideal candidate will be passionate about what they do, have an eye for detail, and experience working collaboratively to meet tight deadlines. This position is based in Columbus, Ohio and reports to the Creative Director.

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for executing the Club’s creative direction, while protecting and furthering the brand. This position will be required to work home matches throughout the season, which may include weekends and holidays.

Primary Responsibilities

Execute projects across digital, social, print, retail, and in-stadium spaces
Assist in constructing and maintaining the club’s visual identity
Work closely with departments to ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner
Meet deadlines while delivering quality results in real-time and on-demand
Complete projects by coordinating with print vendors and agencies as needed
Assist in-studio and on location with photo shoots, matchdays, and special events
Other projects and responsibilities as assigned

Required skills, experience & abilities

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field. BFA a plus
3-4 years of professional design experience
Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud programs, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Power Point
Demonstrated graphic design experience marketing professional sports teams or intercollegiate athletics programs is strongly preferred
Strong work ethic and an eye for detail
Demonstrated ability to meet strategic deadlines in a dynamic environment
Ability to exercise sound discretionary judgment
Familiar with print production practices
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Working knowledge and familiarity with MLS rules
Must be able to work some evenings, weekends and holidays
