Corvallis, Oregon NaturalPoint, makers of the OptiTrack suite of tracking products, seeks a talented and experienced Graphic Designer to execute on all aspects of our visual communication efforts. Responsibilities: Design web pages, graphics, multimedia pieces, and GUIs for web properties as well as our desktop software, from initial concept, storyboarding and layout to design and development, through production deployment. Design and develop graphics and images that present complex data and analytical information in a creative and visual way that engages its audience. Establish and maintain best practices and design methods for art direction and stay abreast of rich media techniques, emerging technologies, and latest web trends. Collaborate with user experience team members on interaction design framework and execution to ensure seamless transition between user experience design and visual design. Design GUI elements and suggest workflows for OptiTrack’s desktop software. Execute design comps and create visual prototypes. Desired Skills and Experience: The ability to create art which elegantly tells our technical story while eliciting emotion. Master with InDesign and Illustrator. Experience with Sketch, Jira, Assembla, Agile Development, 3D Art Expert knowledge in industry trends and experience designing applications leveraging these trends. Successful track record of delivering integrated effective and visually appealing end-user interfaces on schedule. Relentless attention to detail, with extremely high personal quality expectations. Well-rounded understanding of web usability best practices. Knowledge of design patterns, consumer psychology, and visual trends. Creative and pragmatic problem solver. Professional, team player with strong interpersonal skills. Bonus Points for: Experience in web design including HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
