We are looking for a graphic designer to create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media. Who is the type of person that would fit in this role? We describe this individual as someone who has an understanding of visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts, and photos. You’ll be the one to shape the visual aspects of websites, catalogs, product photos, product packaging, exhibitions, and ultimately create the way the industry perceives our company. Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the company’s core values. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. This person is a go-getter. Someone who isn’t afraid to take strides and challenge themselves in reaching a common goal. If you can communicate well, be self-sustaining while having the ability to work as a team, and have a hunger to be the best at what you do, then we’d like to meet you.ResponsibilitiesCreate, develop, and establish projects and project plans from both your own ideas and the ideas of our teamConceptualize and develop overall layout and production designs for all aspects of our company. i.e. website, marketing material, product photos, catalogs, trade show, etc.Prepare rough drafts and present ideasDevelop illustrations, logos, and other designs using software or by handUse the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphicWork with your team to produce final designsTest graphics across various mediaAmend designs after feedbackEnsure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brandRequired SkillsProven graphic designing experienceA strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphicsHighly Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.)Strong understanding of photography and video capturing and editingTech-savvyAbility to work independently and create their own work structureA keen eye for aesthetics and detailsThe ability to self-sustain and think on your ownExcellent communication skillsAbility to work methodically and meet deadlinesStudent mentalityInterest in the medical device industryPreferred Skills2 or 4-year degree from an accredited university or community college in Design, Fine Arts, or a related fieldExperience in using OpenCart and forms of Social MediaUnderstanding of basic marketing principles and how to market effectivelyExperience in building a brandJob Types: Part-time, ContractPay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hourBenefits:Paid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Graphic Design: 1 year (Preferred)Adobe Photoshop: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
