Job Title: Graphic Designer
Job Description:
RSI is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and organized, and exhibits excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. You will work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment primarily supporting the communications, safety and security, business development, and marketing teams. This is a full-time position based in Oak Ridge, TN.
Responsibilities
Create a wide range of graphics and layouts (flyers, posters, fact sheets, infographics, etc.) using Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office software.
Develop PowerPoint presentations, including visual designs and messaging.
Maintain brand consistency throughout designs.
Work with communications team to ensure consistency of messaging and interrelationship of projects and priorities.
Communicate with clients throughout the design process, including defining requirements, creating initial concepts, and following through to final designs.
Collaborate with corporate personnel and leadership to develop graphics that communicate technical and management concepts.
Improve graphic design and publication layouts.
Manage final production of collateral materials, as assigned.
Juggle multiple tasks and contribute to team efforts by accomplishing all tasks on deadline.
Work independently as well as collaboratively.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
3-5 years of graphic design experience in a corporate setting
Advanced skills in graphic design with ability to translate technical concepts into effective visual designs
Advanced skills in document layout, publishing, and printing procedures
Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat
High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, especially creating PowerPoint presentations
Knowledge of design principles and the design process, from idea development through final execution
Experience in layout/design, illustration, photo editing, print production, and digital production
Strong creative vision and visual arts skills as demonstrated by portfolio of work
Excellent time management skills and initiative
Adhere to deadlines and production schedules
Detail-oriented, well organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Proficient writer, familiar with AP style guide
Ability to work independently and under deadline pressure on several tasks simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to work with senior executives and decision-makers to visually communicate complex concepts
Team-oriented attitude, self-starter, skilled at working under pressure and possessing strong interpersonal skills
Work outside normal business hours (including weekends) with short notice may be required
Travel may be required
