Job Description :	We’re seeking a talented, multi-faceted graphic designer who is enthusiastic about working in the fashion and retail industry. You will assist in the creation of marketing and collateral materials, product design, catalogs, website design, and much more. As a graphic designer on the creative team, you must be ready and willing to take on a wide variety of projects and back up other team members, as needed. The graphic designer position will report to the Creative Director.NOTE: Resumes without a link to a portfolio or website WILL NOT be considered. THE CANDIDATE MUST BE LOCATED LOCALLY!Responsibilities: Assist the design team in the conceptualization and creation of designs for new products, including t-shirts, patterns, tags, labels, etc.Conceptualize and create materials for retail locations, including banners, window graphics, display furniture, etc.Manage and coordinate all design requests from internal and external sourcesEnsure an appropriate level of style & fashion is infused in all creative work consistent with the brand & target audienceConceptualize and create materials for regional markets and other retail events, including banners, posters, catalogs, cups, etc.Create billboards and magazine adsAssist the marketing team in the creation of marketing e-mail contentAssist the marketing team in the creation of content for southernmarsh.comQualifications: Minimum of 4 years experience creating a high-level design for print and webMust be extremely organized and detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentMust perform well under pressureMust be an expert in the Adobe Creative Suite in a Mac environment, with an emphasis on Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and InDesignMust possess strong typography skills and knowledge of contemporary designMust have a keen eye for colorMust have a strong sense of fashion and/or apparel industriesMust have extensive knowledge and experience with file formatting for print and webMust be able to interact and communicate clearly and confidently with internal clients to determine their visual communication needs, present ideas, and take a project from start to finishMust be familiar with current social media trends and be able to deliver fresh graphics that are consistent with those trendsHTML/CSS experience is a plusSUMMARY OF COMPANY: Southern Marsh is a leading multi-channel retailer of apparel & gear in over 700 specialty retailers, a thriving e-commerce business, and most recently, 2 corporate-owned brick & mortar stores.Job Type: Full-timePay: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Graphic design: 3 years (Preferred)Adobe Creative Suite: 3 years (Preferred)Adobe Illustrator: 3 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
