Job Opening for Graphic Designer/Team Lead in Eastern Research Group, Inc. (Arlington, VA)

Responsibilities:
Provide art direction for print, digital, web, video, social, and interactive media, while also doing your own design work.
Lead and cultivate a team of designers, providing staff oversight, mentoring, troubleshooting of design challenges, and skill development.
Oversee quality assurance and manage project workflow.
Work with account managers and clients to guide the creative process.
Function as the point of contact to advise and consult on graphics projects.
Stay abreast of evolving design trends, digital media tools and trends, and design software tools.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a design-related field.
6+ years of professional experience within the creative industry supporting graphic design projects.
Strong and diverse art portfolio that demonstrates a mastery of design fundamentals.
Advanced knowledge of industry standards, requirements, and development processes for both print and digital products.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software, including InDesignCC, IllustratorCC, PhotoshopCC, AfterEffectsCC, PremiereCC, and DreamweaverCC.
Organizational and project management experience, including managing cost-effective workflows, production schedules, and budgets.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.

Additional Desirable Skills
Portfolio of innovative digital media features.
Experience in website design and development.
Illustration skills.
Experience in animation.
