The Graphic Production Artist evaluates customer art files and creates print-ready proofs for production. You are the master of adjusting art to be pixel-perfect and production-ready. In an ideal world, you believe all images should be clean, sharp and intentional. Your mathematical brain and sharp eye work in tandem to finalize and perfect digital images. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Create proofs for stickers and labels based upon the customer’s request while adhering to production guidelines. This requires checking and modifying customer art for these production requirements (when possible): Size Resolution Inset Margins (adjusting size/proportions when possible) Bleed Margins (extending bleed when possible) Colors (RGB vs CMYK, Rich Blacks, Spot Colors, Over Print, etc.) Resolving Missing Fonts (replacing, working around when possible) Text Size for legibility Simplifying complex art when needed (e.g. patterns, textures, ultra-high-resolution images, transparencies, clipping masks, blending modes, warp modes, stray objects) Accounting for our sticker and label material differences/limitations in production Final Checks for production to ensure proof accuracy. (e.g. maintaining item orders, grouping, item spacing, cut line cleanliness) Work with team members to ensure a consistent proof turnaround time Assess customer art files and offer feedback if the file is not print ready Process a high volume of images per day (Average daily jobs range of 70-100) Process customer revisions (additional 20-30 revised proofs per day); Revisions could include reproofing entire orders with new files or minor changes Occasionally provide art enhancements such as upscaling, touching up images, color corrections and color matching Maintain and create production templates Communicate art issues through the customer service team to customers to ensure a consistent customer experience; occasional direct customer communication when necessary Provide insights and new ideas for continuous improvement for business operations Seek new ways to decrease the number of proof revisions Remain adaptable to the introduction of new products and processes are driven by StickerGiant’s business strategy EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING A high school diploma or GED required Bachelor’s degree or trade certification preferred Minimum of 1-3 years preflighting artwork for printing production or related work experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc) Ability to analyze images and calculate dimensions Math skills paired with an eye for visual/spatial relationships and color Entrepreneurial mindset Speed and agility when producing electronic print-ready files Ability to embrace and follow a common business framework such as Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) and Open Book Management Commitment to customers by effectively solving problems quickly and effectively Adaptability to work under pressure, sometimes with competing deadlines and schedules Strong communicator and ability to navigate situations with diplomacy Continual learner interested in ongoing education and training within the field POSITION SCHEDULE DETAILS Full-time position non-exempt Monday – Friday (40 hours/week) Overtime is NOT required but is available upon request This position offers onsite and remote work BENEFITS & PERKS Core Benefits: Health, dental, vision are offered at reduced rates.
