Professional references are required. **POSITION OVERVIEW: The selected candidate will work with Application development staff to enhance customer satisfaction by improving the usability, and accessibility associated with a product in a way that is attractive and convenient for users.RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct testing of sample applications, websites and software to assess user experience and ease of designUse recent studies and findings to establish the best overall design elements to include in UX design experiencesEnhance user experience by creating seamless navigation through various digital programs and interfaces within the companyWork on multiple and simultaneous intranet and public-facing web applicationsWork closely with the Technical Lead and the Project Manager to review requirements and provide work effort estimatesContinuously learn new technologies and participate in adoption of new technologiesCombine interface design concepts with digital design and establish milestones to encourage cooperation and teamworkMinimum Qualifications: Candidate must reside in the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut)5 years of experience translating business requirements to technical specifications and design5 years of demonstrated experience in User Interface and User Experience design5 years of hands-on experience in of HTML5, CSS, and popular Javascript frameworksAn established portfolio of UI/UX case studies for web/mobile/digital experiencesExperience designing with large amounts of content and complex information architecture.Experience in reviewing existing systems and processes to identify UX issues and develop UX recommendations.Experience and proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Invision, Figma, Framer, Marvel, Zeplin.Ability to work well in a team environment.Strong oral and written communication skills.Undergraduate degree or certificate in Art, Design, Web design, Data Science, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a similar field of studyPreferred Qualifications: Preferred minimum 5 years of strong hands-on experience of application development in .NET.Knowledge and experience in C#,.NET 4.0/4.5, MVC5+, ADO.net, and Web Services.Knowledge and experience in SQLKnowledge and experience in TableauHands-on experience of application development in an object-oriented programming language, such as Javascript, C++, Java, .NET, Python.Hands-on experience in SOAP/XMLP and RESTful Web Services.And desire to continuously learn new technologies to stay up to date on industry best practices.Advanced degree or certificate in Art, Design, Web design, Data Science, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a similar field of studyJob Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $75,000.00 – $120,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveProfessional development assistanceRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Work Location: One location |
