WORK LOCATION: Houston, Texas
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Graphic Designer will create engaging and visually appealing on-brand graphics for a variety of outlets including social media, web, print, packaging, merchandise, events, and additional projects at Karbach Brewing. The Graphic Designer is responsible for the production and editing of visual content that represents the brand and furthers brand engagement.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with greater marketing team to concept, develop, design, and produce graphic art that satisfies a creative brief and conforms to brand standards and specifications
Create digital and print design for a range of projects, including: brand identity, digital advertising media, social media graphics (static and animated), packaging, in-store materials, toolkits, key art, sales and promotional materials, etc.
Produce design proofs for review and make revisions based on feedback.
Review final productions for specifications and best-in-class graphic art.
Work effortlessly across our portfolio of brands leveraging defined identity systems, typography, and voice to deliver creative solutions that are unique to each brands objectives and strategy
Maintain efficient and scalable production of all digital & print assets — re: templates, resizing and versioning
Manage multiple projects from concept through completion
Translate business and marketing objectives into designs that are clear, compelling, visually exciting, and easy to understand.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
BA or BFA in graphic design or related field
2-3 years relevant graphic design experience – beverage industry, alcohol industry, or CPG preferred but not required.
Strong packaging experience preferred but not required
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite—including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and more.
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and After Effects
Outstanding portfolio showcasing strong design, branding, typography, etc.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Organizationally savvy and can-do attitude
Detail-oriented, deadline driven, and able to handle a high-volume workload
Attention to detail is important when creating designed assets that must convey a message for a brand both for story continuity and aligning to a brand tone of voice
Willingness to react, respond and pivot creative in a timely manner
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
