Job Description : Job Summary::

The Junior Graphic Designer is a visual and creative strategist for the Southwest Key Programs HR Wellness Department and works under the supervision of the Wellness Communication Specialist. The chief responsibility of the Junior Graphic Designer is to produce innovative, culturally appropriate, and intuitive creative content for our campaigns and initiatives. This entails following established brand guidelines and delivering creative content that supports the HR Wellness team in achieving their measurable goals. This high-volume, fast paced position requires a intuitive design sense, an adaptive working style, a diverse skill-set and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once. The Junior Graphic Designer must be a resourceful self-starter, capable of designing in web, environmental, experiential, print, email, video and social platforms. #SWHQ
Essential Functions::
Provides key creative support within the HR Wellness Department for internal and external communications campaigns.
The primary function of the Junior Graphic Designer will be the direct communication and design liaison to the Wellness Regional Coordinators
Designs innovative environmental and experiential campaigns that function outside the realms of digital communications.
Works closely with the Wellness Communication Specialist on timelines and departmental capacity.
Proofs and edits projects to spec and strategizes best practices for design and content goals.
Follows creative briefs and provides design rationale and integrates team feedback to spec.
Juggles multiple projects on tight timelines. Team-player, able to effectively communicate production requirements, timing estimates, and limitations.
Exceptional typographic and digital retouching skills with expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative suite: Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects.
Understanding of UX/UI and WordPress, and basic coding knowledge in CSS and HTML.
Maintains an understanding of Wellness programming along with all programs and services offered by Southwest Key Programs.
Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of commonly used design techniques as well as a history of successful work.
Willingness to perform any other duties as assigned.
Other Functions::
Responsible for assisting in updating and maintaining the Wellness website and Wellness SharePoint page.
Assist in team mailings and ship outs of Wellness related material and merchandise.
Assist in Wellness merchandise inventory and maintenance.
Assist in Wellness in-person events such as biometrics screenings, health fairs and athletic events.
Possible travel to programs for Wellness programming.
Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements::

Educational Requirements
Bachelors or higher degree in marketing, communications, applied arts, visual communications, advertising, or related field, or equal work experience.
Required Skills
2-5 years of demonstrated graphic design, advertising, marketing, and branding experience with a strong online portfolio of projects featuring your work.
Excellent sense of design with superior typographic application.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud products: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, After Effects.
Technically resourceful and able to troubleshoot challenges autonomously and timely.
Ability to follow a pre-established design direction and extend the direction across multiple mediums to spec.
Basic knowledge of print production and coordination, and environmental design
Basic knowledge of WordPress, site optimization and coding languages including CSS and HTML5
Experience managing production files in a team environment and collaborating using Adobe Libraries
Strong collaboration and communication skills with ability to co-create campaigns within design parameters.
Commitment to high-quality standards and superior proofing skills.
Ability to manage numerous small to medium creative projects simultaneously as opposed to working on a single, long-term project.

Preferred Skills
Experience with project management application, Asana.
Experience with experiential campaign development, experience design, or social media campaigns
Experience designing in the Microsoft Office software (Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, etc.)

Understanding of print production and limitations
Experience designing HubSpot websites, emails, and landing pages
Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken) desired.
Physical Demands::

Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. Must be able to type. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of the
workstation and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment::

General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time in cubicle setting – also may involve walking or standing for extended periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer usage at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel. During Covid-19 quarantines, this position requires a professional remote environment and professional video presentation.
