Job Description : | Responsibilities: Design and deliver high-quality creative visual concepts for print, digital, and interactive media to effectively communicate the story of the University and its philanthropic priorities and impact. These materials include, but are not limited to: digital advertisements, social media content, email marketing, templates, web graphics, etc.In collaboration with Digital Engagement leadership and project stakeholders, conceptualize creative approaches that result in innovative and compelling design executions. Serve as a creative problem solver who can anticipate and address obstacles.Maintain a unified look across all communications in accordance with University and campaign brand visual identify guidelines. Edit graphic images, animations, sound, text, and video.Coordinate with colleagues and project to determine project scope, design specifications, deadlines, and creative direction and to secure revisions and approvals. Effectively manage simultaneous projects and workload on a variety of projects through completion, adhering to deadlines.Ensure design and layouts are optimized and mobile-friendly. Optimize creative deliverables based on past results. Finalize artwork, electronic files and prepare for final production; works closely with external vendors to ensure brand consistency and quality deliverables.Contribute to internal department initiatives, including updating and creating processes, documentation, tools, and maintaining project libraries, etc. As needed, support and assist with photo and video shoots.Stay on top of emerging best practices and design trends adapting creative as needed. Keep abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs.Participate in Digital Engagement and Philanthropic Giving planning meetings to understand broader marketing strategies and recommend integrated tactics to support giving and engagement.As needed, collaborate with other DAR and campus colleagues to share strategies, and collaborate on campus-wide projects or initiatives.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field required and experience with digital graphic design.Minimum 1+ year experience with digital design and production experience. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered. Photography and video editing skills a plus.Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and XD.Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.Robust understanding of digital design trends and best practice.
