Job Description :	Large Fort Smith company urgently seeking a Prepress/Graphic Designer in their Art Department! This position will go permanent for the right candidate!This purpose of this position is to produce layouts and artwork in accordance with customer specifications and established guidelines for quality, accuracy and speed set forth by the Company.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Producing layouts and artwork on Macintosh publishing system. Keyboarding and/or format copy and logos to produce typeset galleries or full-page layouts on film or plate material. Creating finished artwork as assigned by supervisor. Preparing job specifications by selecting type faces and size, colors, etc. Creating line drawing and other freehand artwork and/or alters those taken form source material. Reviewing customer copy and job instructions to determine the mark-up, fonts, keyboard set-up, program, and adjustments needed.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Expert knowledge of Macintosh operating systems. Expert knowledge of Adobe Create Suite Familiarity with printing operations, guidelines and proceduresJob Requirements: Occasional travel may be expected. Overtime will be expected. Must have excellent color perception. Attendance is essential; must be reliable, dependable and punctual.Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds. Extensive sitting required. Extensive use of computer and mouse.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent work experience.
