Job Position: Print Production Designer (Full Time Position)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working individual who is ready and willing to find creative solutions to help our clients grow and promote their businesses.

Design And Customize LLC specializes in graphic design, hand-drawn illustration, product packaging design, 3D design, and animation.
We work with entrepreneurs, startups, established companies, and agencies to create custom-branded graphics and product packaging for retail displays, with an emphasis on quality and customer service.
We are a small, close-knit staff who love what we do!
Job Details:
Starting Pay: $20/hour.
Full Time
Monday – Friday 10:30am to 6:30pm. Saturday shift is also available if overtime hours are desired 10am to 4pm.
Start Date: Immediately
Location: 320 Beach Road, Burlingame, CA,94010. Must be able to work in the office.
What You’ll Do:
Resize and reformat digital files for print in accordance with company pre-press standards and standard operating procedures.
Prepare and send proofs to clients for approval or revisions before printing.
Communicate with the graphic design team to determine the cost and schedule of work required to complete each file setup.
Work with the Print Press Operators on matters involving quality and scheduling.
Assess and perform necessary color correction to art files, and perform color separations.
Create custom die-lines sized appropriately for each client’s product needs.
Analyze client-provided graphics for printability, separation issues, brand color concerns, Pantone® matching, ink sequence, and any foreseeable printing issues. This may include documenting issues and possible solutions, and notifying the appropriate teams.
Acquire prepress knowledge workflow and techniques with attention to job-specific information with Press Operators and graphic design team.
Works with team to develop procedures and workflows relevant to the prepress area.
Work alongside the design team to sketch, ideate, and generate new concepts based on client direction and self-driven research when needed.
Engage with clients during acquisition, design planning, and sales.
Use internal task management software to track and maintain data for each order.
Related duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
Bachelors Degree in graphic design, packaging design, industrial design, fine arts, or related field.
At least 2 years of professional experience in prepress design, packaging design, print, or related field.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop required.
Working knowledge of digital front-end processes is a huge plus, but not required.
Working knowledge of Procreate, Adobe Dimension, Blender, or comparable software is a plus, but not required.
Ability to maintain a fast pace across multiple projects while working on tight deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional business skills, such as negotiation, project management, and leadership.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required.
Our ideal candidate is a quick learner, and innovative thinker who is highly detail-oriented and learns quickly from mistakes.
2+ years of professional experience in print production, file setup, or graphic design is required.
