About the Role
Reporting to the VP, Creative, the Product Development Designer will assist in designing new products and improve existing products. The ideal candidate should have a great eye for design, an interest in licensed products and knowledge of manufacturing techniques. To be successful, the Product Development Designer should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage multiple projects, stakeholders and timelines while having fun and maintaining a sense of humor.
Responsibilities:
Learn and apply brand guidelines when designing and reviewing product
Create on-trend designs to enhance product to be best-in-class
Suggest modifications to improve product designs
Review and provide written or redlined notes to product concepts and prototypes in a digital approval system
Collaborate with the sales team and business partners to identify product trends and how Peanuts can adapt to these industry trends
Coordinate with Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates to ensure design direction is being adhered to
Collaborate with the design team to create on trend style guides
Submit proposals and designs for evaluation by the design or sales team before moving to the next stage of the process
Collaborate with the marketing and sales team to create product mockups to secure new business
Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat)
Experience in product development or as a graphic designer knowledgeable in product trends and licensing preferred
Experience in character licensing a plus but not necessary
Proficient in Microsoft suite
Excellent communication skills
Detail oriented
