Job Description :	Job Description: DomeTag is looking for a Production Artist to manage the art department and label layouts, ensuring they meet production and customer requirements as given by our sales department.Your role will be to take on label designs that are in different stages of development to ensure accuracy and to prepare them for print or digital publication. To be successful in this position, you should combine strong creative and technical skills to format various images and illustrations. We are a small, family-owned business who has been in operation since 1978.The Production Artist position is a key member of our team with ultimate responsibility for all print design material.Responsibilities: Act as liaison with sales managers to define customer design requirementsReview graphics, layouts and fonts before products are sent to productionFinalize designs using various image editing softwareRetouch images to improve quality both in print and digital formatsApply image improvements, like creating gradients and layersManage prepress process for print filesFollow deadlines to ensure timely production flowArchive produced images and graphicsFollow up with sales and production to ensure their requirements are metKeep up-to-date with trends in graphic design techniques and softwareRequirements: Proven work experience as a Label Production Artist, or similar roleSolid knowledge of the printing process and preflighting tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and understanding of Wasatch Rip)Hands-on experience with graphic design software and image editing tools (e.g., Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator)Knowledge in Variable data imbeds in art filesBasic knowledge of web development systems (e.g., Microsoft 365)An ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environmentCreativity skills with attention to detailBachelor’s degree or 3 or more years’ experience in label production or similar, relevant fieldAdditional qualification in Graphic Design is a plusJob Type: Full-timePay: $23.00 – $26.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Health insurancePaid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Graphic design: 1 year (Preferred)Adobe Creative Suite: 1 year (Preferred)Adobe Illustrator: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
