Job Description : Disney Theatrical Group (DTG) is looking for a Production Designer to join the Creative Services Team. As Production Designer, you will provide graphic design resources for The Lion King, Aladdin, and Frozen, with a focus on DTG’s merchandise business.
As a designer for Disney Theatrical Group, you must have a passion for creating visual work with care through the lens of all communities, identities and cultures. A successful candidate must have a depth of creative knowledge, versatile design aesthetic, excellent communication skills and proven experience producing high quality content. You should be highly skilled in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop with a creative and collaborative spirit. You must also be quick and efficient, and have a strong ability to receive and apply feedback.

Responsibilities :

Production Art, Layout and Graphic Design
Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Creative Services, work with DTG’s merchandise team to create or update Souvenir Brochures and Inserts for New York, touring, and international productions.
Create marketing materials for merchandise, including Playbill ads and email retail marketing.
Create in-theater signage for all domestic and U.K. productions, including large scale vinyl kiosk designs, visual mock-ups, signage, menus, and product labels.
Design and manage all product sheets and imagery for domestic and international wholesale catalogues.
Support in the print production process, including the build of mechanicals and color proofing.
Provide additional support to marketing New York and touring productions, including digital media, social content, emails, key art resizes, and advertisements.
Product Photography
Photograph, retouch, and color-correct all new merchandise products for digital, print, and legal use.
Resize and edit all product images for the online store, ticketing bundles, and pre-order elements for all domestic and U.K based shows.
Manage photo catalogue and storage of all current products.

Basic Qualifications :

Highly skilled in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
Proven working knowledge in production design
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in graphic design
Possess a creative and collaborative spirit with versatile design aesthetic that can accommodate multiple styles and projects.
Ability to receive feedback from multiple stakeholders and execute notes thoroughly.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
Commitment to actively being part of and supporting a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ Years of Production Design experience
Working knowledge of inclusive graphic design practices (e.g. accessible fonts, color contrast, etc.)
Merchandising experience is a plus
