Job Category Marketing Job Details What you’ll be doing… Tableau is on a mission to help people see and understand data. We are searching for a talented designer who is inspired by the power of data and visual analytics. Tableau is seeking a production designer to work in our Global Brand Creative Studio. This in-house team includes designers, writers, project managers, localization and other creatives who bring our brand to life. Our designers work on projects across the brand including Tableau.com and its 12 managed properties, Salesforce.com, our style guide brand and design systems, digital advertising, and events like Tableau Conference and Dreamforce. The Tableau brand is rooted in data visualization. Our designers specialize in telling stories with data and have created a brand system that makes a connection with audiences between our product and the magical feeling of insight discovery with Tableau. We are looking for a professional, detail oriented, graphic designer who is interested in supporting efforts around design, production, and asset management across the Tableau and Salesforce brands. This is an exciting time for the Tableau brand and we are building a team to accommodate new work, new ideas for the brand, and a rapidly growing library of brand assets and documentation. This role will include autonomous design assignments, collaborative projects with art directors, as well as communication design projects to support the team’s documentation efforts. Primary Responsibilities… Success will be measured by the overall performance of the design team in the ability to deliver inclusive, compelling design, astute service to our internal partners, and accessible, in-depth documentation for self-service brand evangelism. You know the business. Understand Tableau and Salesforce businesses, products, and services as well as how our organizations function. Because of this, you partner with our internal clients and external vendors in creating design solutions that exceed expectations. Successfully design across Tableau, Salesforce, Slack and Mulesoft brands. You’ll mostly utilize Tableau and Salesforce visual language. Define metrics and KPIs for your projects and work to develop the production design and traffic processes within our team. Who you are… Educated: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in graphic design. Experienced: 3+ years of experience in technology marketing Video editing and motion design Previous brand design experience with an agency or in-house Experience with a DAM or other asset management strategies for 70K+ person companies Online work samples or portfolio including digital-focused projects Expert-level use of Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Powerpoint, Google Workspace apps (Slides, Sheets, and Docs) Interested and engaged in the latest design software applications. Experience with brand visual systems Ability to follow style guides and execute on brand work with little preparation Ability to problem solve, support, and collaborate with other team members effectively Exceptional communication and organizational skills Some light video or motion design experience with an interest to learn more Ability to adapt to changing priorities while managing high-volume design needs.
