Job Purpose Summary
The Graphic Designer is responsible for developing and producing highly visible marketing collateral, including email campaigns, coupon and rich message creative, and other assets as needed. Available to work 15 hours per week.
Essential Job Duties
Design and produce innovative, impactful, on-brand creative campaigns.
Manage email campaigns from concept and creative development to deployment.
Collaborate closely with internal team members and external vendors to execute creative concepts based on information provided.
Communicate a single concept across multiple channels to create consistent brand messaging, while also optimizing for different touch points.
Keep abreast of the latest design and industry trends and distill findings into effective strategies to define and evolve our visual approaches.
Partner with marketing department team members on key dates, deadlines, and content delivery requirements.
Monitor and stay up to date on competitive emails and brand messaging.
Execute high quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Additional projects as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in art, design or related discipline
Experience: 5+ years of full-time design experience in-house or at an agency, restaurant industry preferred.
Knowledge: Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro and Acrobat, and knowledge of collaboration and project management software such as OneDrive, Google Drive and Basecamp.
Design Abilities: Expert visual design skills including color, layout and typography with meticulous attention to detail.
Language Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, creative problem solver, and ability to communicate design process and elements in a clear, concise and objective manner.
Other Abilities: Strong organizational skills, ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality, strong understanding of the creative process, and ability to track and drive the completion of numerous small and large-scale projects simultaneously.
Reporting Relationships
Reports to the Marketing Manager.
Working and Environmental Conditions
Typically functions in an office environment.
Physical Demands
Typically requires sitting, standing, walking, for extended periods of time. May require time in front of a computer for periods of time. May require some lifting.
