Our employees are key to our success. The Retail Store Designer is a key role in the global expansion of JD sports across the US. Reporting into the JD UK Design team and working as part of the JD Finish Line US Store Development team, this position’s primary focus is to design creative and on-brand environmental graphics, wayfinding signage, and permanent branded display fixtures for new retail stores. This role ensures that our physical store environments look fresh, on brand and are commercially competitive to ensure we offer our customers and immersive, tailored shopping experience. This individual will also provide support to the JD Group’s global expansion by designing various presentations and communication collateral to help educate who we are which helps secure the best stores in the prime locations. This individual should effectively exhibit JD Finish Line’s core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following key duties: Creates innovative and inspiring environmental graphics and signage solutions for US new store projects Delivers design updates for signage and graphics in the existing store portfolio Produces on-brand presentations and communication collateral Creates print ready/manufacturing artwork Executes image manipulation and retouching Liaises with key project stakeholders from the internal departments (retail, marketing, multichannel, merchandising etc. Liaises with external architects, planning departments or consultants in order to obtain statutory approvals and advertising consents Creates technical drawings to support design ideas Signs off technical drawings for production Presents and gains approval of design ideas from senior leadership Up to 20% travel Other duties as assigned. Required Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in graphic design or other related major & 2 – 4 years of relevant professional experience in graphic design, industrial design, or signage sectors, preferably in a retail environment. Internal JD Finish Line experience preferred. Required Computer and/or Technical Skills Should have strong proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office or Google Suite. Fully fluent in Adobe Creative Cloud; InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator. Ability to generate 3D renders using Sketch Up and V-Ray plug in.
