What you will be doing
This position is for a senior-level digital designer with a strong interest in technology, UX, and communication. You will be responsible for driving and managing customer communications through 2D, 3D, animated, and video assets. While management skills are important, this is a position for a hands-on contributor ready to generate digital and graphic design work, content development, and prepared to promote the management and development of effective, on-brand, and on-strategy creative solutions.
This position will:
Design and execute 2D graphical assets for internal and external-facing media
Design and assist on website 2D, 3D, animated, and video assets
Manage 2D design assets to leverage the existing inventory across a variety of media and deliverables
Design and implement layouts for web, digital, and occasional print deliverables — with attention to brand, design language, typography, etc.
Gather requirements from internal and external customers and validate designs and assets against those requirements
Develop & implement company design language and internal and external UI/UX
Work collaboratively with leadership in design charrettes
Work collaboratively with product managers, marketing, UI/UX designers, and software developers
Lead on design with team members
Working with other content creators and immersing yourself in industry content and audiences
You must have:
B.S. in Design, Graphic Design, Digital Art, Marketing or related field
5+ years of related experience with 2+ years of creative direction in a corporate or agency setting
Excellent story telling skills
Ability to consume technical ideas and interpret them into graphical clarity
Excellent 2D and 3D design, illustration, and UI/UX skills
Strong experience with 2D and 3D design applications (i.e. Adobe Suite, Sketch, Affinity, SketchUp, Keyshot, Motion, CAD, etc.)
Strong design and art direction skills with attention to detail and consistency — form and function are equally important
Interest in human centered design, sustainability, impact, and green building
Strong skills managing creative and graphic assets
You should have:
Experience and interest in the entire design stack, visual design, including UI/UX, and interaction design
Experience with 3D product rendering (Keyshot, etc)
Strong understanding of front-end/UI technologies
Experience with video and animation production (Motion, Final Cut Pro)
Past experience creating integrated content across all marketing channels from digital, social media, paid media, mobile, while also understanding packaging, print, and environmental design
Strong organizational and problem solving skills
The ability to work well under pressure
Experience leading designers, copywriters, and UI/UX designers
It’s helpful to have:
Experience with application development (web, iOS, Mac, Android, Windows, etc.)
Experience with Architectural software (Chief Architect, Revit)
Experience with Studio Photography
Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML5, CSS3 & Javascript)
Familiarity with Agile Development Methodology
