Job Description :	POSITION SUMMARY:A Technical Illustrator creates medium-to-complex technical illustrations. The Technical Illustrator II participates in technical illustration efforts, ensuring that assigned tasks are completed on time and in a cost-effective manner. The Technical Illustrator II prepares all types of illustrations or artwork in accordance with customer, Government, or company specifications.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:· Plans and arranges assigned tasks under minimum supervision.· Creates or revises intermediate to advanced technical illustrations according to customer guidelines and internal specifications· Creates or modifies illustrations within established guidelines and communicates status to internal personnel and the customer, if applicable· Identifies, documents, and communicates process improvement opportunities with supervisors and team members· May interact with customer during life of project· Generates final artwork for customer approval· Performs any other job-related instructions, as requested with reasonable accommodationMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:· High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required· Certificate from a vocational school or technical school in Illustration or related field is preferredExperience:· Minimum of 1-2 years of experience or specialized training in technical illustrations or CAD-based software training is requiredTechnical Experience:· Adobe Photoshop, Photopaint, and pseudo-vector graphics software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Iso Draw) experience is preferredBasic to intermediate proficiency level using/understanding of CAD software, such as Unigraphics, Solidworks, Catia, 3DVIA, Creo, and Teamcenter Vis Professional, is preferred· Experience understanding and effectively reading 2D engineering drawings; identifying basic hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical components and their systemic functions; and identifying basic hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematic symbols is required· Experience understanding and applying Isometric projection principals is required· Experience reading engineering prints, photographs or other source material is required· Experience using software and networks and storing/sharing files is requiredKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:· Ability to understand customers’ product lines· Ability to read and understand engineering drawings presented in orthographic projection (2D) and file structure of CAD model files· Ability to revise and create orthographic, perspective, or axonometric technical illustrations, from engineering prints, photographs, or other source material· Knowledgeable in field to skillfully perform assigned tasks· Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skill at performing job responsibilities· Ability to be self-directed, be resourceful, and demonstrate creativity to meet job objectives and propose innovative ideas· Ability to be cost-effective in completing assigned tasks accurately and within established guidelines and timeframes/schedules· Ability to follow established company policies and procedures and customer guidelines· Ability to complete assignments on time, which may require overtime to meet deadlines· Ability to follow through on assignments and maintain a high level of integrity· Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external personnel according to company guidelines and communicate project status to internal and external personnel· Ability to work proactively and efficiently to fulfill job responsibilities· Ability to work independently and within a team to accomplish tasks and meet deadlineJob Type: Full-timePay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveRelocation assistanceRetirement planTuition reimbursementVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Miamisburg, OH 45342: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Work Location: One location
