CSEngineering is looking to add a DevSecOps UI/UX Designer to our growing team! This position is supporting the Air Force to lead the charge in changing the face of Software/IT throughout the DOD with the Platform One centralized team.

CLIENT OVERVIEW

Platform One is a cutting edge, newly created centralized team providing DevSecOps/Software Factory Managed Services with baked-in security to DOD programs. It is comprised of multiple Air Force and DOD Software teams, including Cloud One, with a common goal of making the DOD enterprise DevSecOps initiative (DSOP) a reality. They will achieve this by leveraging industry best practices, open-source software such as Kubernetes and containers, and commercial solutions to instantiate DevSecOps continuous integration (CI)/continuous delivery (CD) pipelines at various classification levels.

Platform One will help in building an infrastructure-agnostic platform to support the DoDs vast infrastructure options (including Government clouds, on-premise, disconnected and classified environments), with the ability to deploy a DevSecOps platform (Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) Kubernetes compliant) with accredited and secured hardened containers built from the DoD Centralized Artifacts Repository (DCAR) in order to support the DoDs ability to field operational capabilities faster.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Interface with project team members and end users to capture customer requirements.
Communicate with end users and stakeholders to collect feedback on pilot efforts.
Work with the team on rapid prototyping and user interface/experience design.
Support disparate working groups as a Designer SME across the AFNWC Software Division.
Developing and conceptualizing a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the CSEngineering brand.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Security Clearance: Interim Secret (minimum to start and able to obtain Top Secret)

3+ years of experience delivering software products, including rapid prototypes, that are intuitive, user-friendly, and enhances the overall usability and user experience.
2+ years of experience utilizing persona and usage development to drive design decisions to improve user-centric design objectives.
Knowledge of various design tools and programs such as XD, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, GIMP, Figma, Sketch, and Invision.
Familiarity with Agile UX Methodology and experience working within an Agile environment (Scrum) and tools (Jira, Confluence).
Graphic Designer background highly experienced in developing layouts, functional mockups, and cohesively combining various typography, photographic, and graphic elements together.
Demonstrated knowledge in the following:
Design thinking
UI/UX frameworks and design technologies
Custom Discovery
A team player with the ability to work independently.
Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Highly experienced in capturing customers requirements to develop user interfaces to deliver products throughout the software development lifecycle.
Excellent communication skills engaging with internal and external stakeholders ranging from the tactical to strategic levels within an organization.
Familiarity with the Designer exploratory process of conducting user interviews, heuristic evaluation, wire-framing, interface design, and usability testing to deliver a complete package built for the user.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance
Must be a United States Citizen
