Description Our social media giant client seeks a UX/Visual Designer to join their team in this 12 month freelance role!
This role will be WFH until March 28, 2022 then will require you to be onsite in Menlo Park. You must also be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, including the booster.
The UX/Visual Designer will be responsible for the following:
Develop an understanding of the ecosystem of the L&D learning programs and initiatives to fully design, develop, and execute Go-to-market strategies and communication plans
Create actionable deliverables and manage day-to-day operational aspects of UX/design projects to facilitate change, including experience documents and maps, persona documents, and visual assets (power point, infographics, banners)
Possess working knowledge of the best ways to market L&D programs and products and create actionable deliverables to market L&D programs (or product marketing experience for large organizations or products looking to attract a large audience or consumer segment)
Help build go-to-market plans to get these new learning programs to learners and measure the efficacy of these programs
Develop communication and marketing assets such as branding logos, identification marks, presentations, presentation templates, storyboards, one-pagers, memes, gifs or animatics for motion graphics and video
Ideate visual concepts/themes/directions and refine design work based on creative direction
Communicate effectively (written, verbal, and presentation skills) and leverage storytelling while customizing to specific audience needs, including at the executive level
Work cross-functionally and collaborate with internal and external team members, including executive staff, clearly articulating design decisions to a variety of partners
Manage various high-caliber projects, meeting project deadlines and keeping stakeholders informed
The ideal UX/Visual Designer should possess the following:
8+ years experience in leading communication and marketing initiatives
Experience developing and delivering quality communications, including development of key messages
A portfolio with examples in branding, presentation support, communication design and promotion
Experience taking feedback to quickly iterate
Experience overseeing ideas from inception to launch
Experience developing interpersonal relationships with cross-functional partners
Experience leading cross-functional and company-wide projects
Experience shifting priorities quickly and acting proactively, working well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing multiple simultaneous change initiatives on an enterprise scale,using change management methodologies and tools
Experience working directly with executives and drafting executive-level communications
Entrepreneurial multi-tasker who can be highly efficient with ambiguity and complexity
Experience thinking strategically and acting operationally and experience managing ambiguity, risk, and changing direction of projects and strategies
Experience in web design and content production is a plus
Working knowledge photo and video-editing software is an asset
Demonstrated knowledge for creativity and design
Experience animating, using video or 3D programs
Demonstrated experience in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and other packages
