You can read more about our mission, vision, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion on our website.ResponsibilitiesThe Visual Design Coordinator will work to maximize brand recognition and enforce visual standards for the Conservancy, increasing public outreach through the following:Graphic design and print production servicescollaborate cross-departmentally to strategically choose and creatively message the Conservancy’s work, utilizing new media, refreshing annual campaigns, and thinking innovatively about our brand assetsimplement branding initiatives that prioritize inclusive design and messagingserve as the primary graphic designer for the organization, creating in-park signage, digital assets, and collateral materials for all program areas (public art, events, general park operations)design developmental collateral for seasonal fundraising campaignsmanage design services vendor relationships and provide print-ready files for ordersensure Brand consistency compliance in signage, apparel, document production, marketing/event promotion, and morestay up-to-date on design trends, strategically improving the organization’s brand identityShared management of social media/online communitiesgenerate graphics and content for weekly email newsletter and social media needspromote The Greenway online and support the Conservancy’s messaging by aggregating internal and external content and distributing it via social media outlets (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Greenway website blog, and more)Digital asset managementmanage photo library and photo resource management system, organizing all photo and video assets for ease of Conservancy useprovide creative direction to professional photographers, Conservancy staff, and stakeholdersOversee Greenway Conservancy websitemanage backend of WordPress websitetrain necessary staff on website editing and manage timely updates of relevant information and electronic organization of dataoversee service and hosting contractsSkills and QualificationsExperience working at or studying in a related field, including graphic design, environmental signage, marketing, etc.Superior demonstrated skill in:strong graphic design visual sense and ability to manage graphic components to support messagingdesktop publishing and print production, including Adobe Creative Suiteincreasing brand awareness via social media outletsenvironmental signage design, production, and installationproject management, tracking, and meeting a variety of deadlineswritten and oral communication (Bilingual skills a plus, especially in Chinese languages given our proximity to the Chinatown neighborhood).Detail-oriented, creative, flexible, collaborative. Experience with photography and/or video production a plus. Experience working in a diverse and inclusive organization is a plus.
