We are looking for an obsessive Visual Designer to join our West Coast team. In this role, you will help maintain a cohesive visual identity for our Enterprise SaaS products, while carefully considering how both interaction and visual design impact the overall user experience. You’ll primarily do this by bringing your expertise in interaction, user interface, and visual design to our collaborative UX environment and by working with our Design Director to create a smooth and satisfying user experience for our clients. In addition, you’ll also play an important role in managing and growing our internal design systems and libraries, helping with new design initiatives, and promoting a culture of data-informed design thinking. What will you do? Translate wireframes into high-fidelity prototypes to share with stakeholders, engineering, and research teams Work with UX designers, design researchers, and engineers to ensure visual design enhances the overall user experience Manage our internal design system, guidelines, and libraries Collaborate with UX designers, researchers, and developers to rapidly envision, prototype, and communicate possible product concepts Work with researchers to support stakeholders, users, and translate those insights into thoughtful design solutions Advocate for design choices using previous user research, heuristics, and usability standards Create world-class Enterprise SaaS experiences that support and reinforce Whip Media’s vision, brand, and business objectives What do you need? Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience An online portfolio of relevant past work experience Proficiency in Sketch and Adobe products (Photoshop and/or Illustrator) Experience in XD and Figma is a plus Demonstrated ability to produce high-fidelity visuals on tight schedules Proven knowledge of best practices in typography, color theory, iconography, and usability Ability to create click-through prototypes to test and validate working hypotheses with users Demonstrated ability to synthesize real user feedback into designs Solid understanding of mobile and desktop graphic techniques and production practices Working knowledge of how your design translates to HTML, JavaScript, and CSS Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate alternative design approaches Exceptional attention to detail Whip Media prioritizes the health and well-being of employees and vaccines are the best tool currently available to help control this global pandemic and protect our employees.
