Job Opening for Web/Graphic Designer in Austin Canvas & Awning (2901 Stewart Creek Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28216)

Austin Canvas & Awning and Austin Tarp & Cargo Controls (both part of PREM CORP) have had a long and successful history in the Charlotte, NC market and beyond. Our presence has been a staple in the division 10 Specialty Construction industry for over 70 years. We are not your typical tarp or awning company and we want our new Web Designer to highlight our differences while accentuating our proven capabilities.

The technically savvy Web Designer will design and create graphics to meet specific commercial and promotional needs such as websites, brochures, catalogs, displays, and HTML emails. The Web Designer will be responsible for building and designing powerful new company websites that are optimized for marketing and lead generation. The new Web Designer will have the opportunity to create an innovative SEM/SEO marketing strategy that translates into lead generation offering clearly measurable business value in line with our mission and growth strategy.

We are looking for that creative self-starter who delivers results!

Your input will be valued from ideation to implementation, and you will be able to define the project path in collaboration with Sales & Operations in order to reach the lead generation and web design goals set and surpassed together.

Duties include:
Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts, for print, and digital-based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetics design concepts aligned with brand standards.
Responsible for the development of a variety of creative projects, including brochures, advertisements, catalogs, POP, and presentations for both print and digital formats.
Utilize and demonstrate content marketing.
Create advertising and design solutions which support the overall growth strategy and branding.
Design graphic layouts and implement into HTML e-mails.
Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts, based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts.
Prepare illustrations or rough sketches of material, discussing them with Sales & Operations, making necessary changes.
Apply understanding of user experience to make recommendations across the areas of design, experience, and content.
Editing of application photography and product images.
Maintain archive of images, photos, or previous work products.
Stay up-to-date with best practices in design trends, web usability, web design and business/industry trends.
Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned to support the marketing and growth strategy.

Requirements for the Web Designer:
BA or BS in Graphics Design, Visual Arts, Computer Science, Interaction Design or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a Web & Print designer, preferably working with both B2B and B2C platforms.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
Experience in print production process and appropriate file preparation.
Experience in Graphic Design.
Advanced Skills using Adobe Creative Suites programs.
Knowledge of social media marketing.
Strong creative skills.
High attention to detail.
Friendly and flexible.
Must possess superior verbal and written communication skills.
Must be deadline orientated, have ability to multi-task, be highly organized and able to work independently.
Must be able to manage multiple projects from concept and development of original design ideas to final artwork.
Must have multi-page brochure/catalog experience.
