As I was contacted after an inquiry about a very serious ADA matter, I was put on speaker and laughed at by surrounding staff. Who raised you all? The taunting was as humiliating as the circumstance I need help with. I won't give up on the agency because of some discriminatory behavior. Oh! I called back to speak with someone about other ways to help myself and they didn't answer. So, I called from another of my numbers and Kerri answered and without needing to take my information knew who I was. I was told I will receive a call but I will see, I suppose. There's bad apples everywhere. Vet better?

They're giving me a lot of issues. First of all, they refuse to give me any meaningful feedback. Second, the housing specialist that I wanted they refuse to give it to me and they're not explaining why. I'm trying to see if I can complain formally and even get a lawyer involved. When you're disabled this is how they treat you. Awful

Why is this agency even still being funded by our tax dollars? From what I gather after reading all the reviews, now I understand why there is no answer when you call, and why I have now left 3 messages in the past 3 weeks and NO ONE has responded. I live alone, have no family to help, broke my leg and here I am risking a fall and yet another injury because I have zero help and those who are "here to help" get all the funds and provide zero services

These people are horrible!!!they do not care and do nothing. Then I get a call this morning from them after8 years and had the nerve to lie claiming I called them the other day. Liars. They just ignored. I'm sick of the damn abuse of these do nothing agencies who would rather defame to deter doing what they receive funds for. I'm beyond pissed these freaking liars. Don't even have records because if they did they would see their lack of services. I can guess who stopped any assistance I require. I almost had a heart attack from the lies and games. FOH. They can gloat some more about denying people.

The Executive Director sent me an email making promises of the services they provide and assigned a worker to take my personal information etc. it is now or has been over 8 weeks and I am still waiting to get assistance. This is beyond unprofessional and this agency does not help disabled peoples.

Do not waste your time. They can't help you with anything. They only know how to send you links to pages you can find on your own with a simple Google search. They will send you on a wild goose chase just to have wasted your time in the end.

As a disabled person, CIDNY does not make anything easier for you AT ALL. They do not want to help even though they benefit from people like us. It’s a waste of city service and money. Do NOT waste your time with this headache scheme.

It took awhile to get a hold of someone, but boy was it worth it! Iris did a PHENOMENAL job taking care of the member I was assisting. You can really tell she cares tremendously for this population. You all served yourselves well by hiring her! Great job Iris! Thank you for all the care you provide and the love you give to a population that is severely overlooked!

I left this terrible agency back in 2017. It was the best decision I have ever made.I was able to hire my significant other through another agency. CIDNY is not for people with disabilities and it is definitely not for elderly clients. Most females who are home care workers are living an unhealthy lifestyle and very disrespectful. I don't recommend this agency. You are better off hiring someone you can trust to take good care of you everyday.

These people care and are very knowledgeable about what someone with disabilities may or may not need and can refer you to who you need connection with...For those looking for concrete answers and referrals for disability resources...This should be your first stop... Highly recommended
