Wonderful place to stay, especially on a budget in the summer. We stayed in the bunk rooms with the shared bathroom down the hall, on the second floor. The bed was SO comfortable and warm, I slept better here than at any of the other places I stayed in Alaska, and the staff was incredibly accommodating—we needed to leave a bag with them while bear viewing for four days at McNeil—and they took perfect care of it while we were gone. Usually I ignore the sponsored places on Google, but that would be to your detriment in the case of this wonderful property. After being stiffed by a certain booking site with a reservation that did not really exist, we found the Driftwood nearby and booked last second at a rate that was cheaper than most I saw online in advance. The lodge rooms were beautiful, the views of the bay breathtaking, the beach access perfect, the staff kind and friendly, and the crowds of the Spit non-existent. Food was close by too and easy access to everything. Highly recommended!

We had our wedding at the Driftwood Inn a few weeks ago and it was a fantastic experience from beginning to end. We rented out all the lodges along the bluff for a cabin weekend vibe with our closest friends and family. Our ceremony was in front the arbor by the Beach House and the reception was in a tent on the lawn in front of the Sea Side Lodge. Rikka and all her colleagues at the Driftwood were extremely professional and accommodating and overall a joy to work with. I cannot speak highly enough of the whole establishment and if you are considering having a wedding in Homer, the Driftwood in is a perfect choice.
