Southern hospitality in the northeast. Clean rooms and friendly staff. One young man at the front that evening who remained friendly and helpful. The only issue we ran into was that the sheets for the pull out couch were too small, and they brought new ones quickly. The breakfast was plentiful, and the morning staff was also friendly. They kept the breakfast items filled and even stopped to help out the small children, taking time to teach them how to make the waffles. My son enjoyed burning off energy in the pool. He said it was very nice.

The hotel seems to be brand new. I didn't see any flaws, except that the door to enter the room was not aligned appropriately by the contractor, so we could see the light in the hallway and fill the crack with toilet paper. I will make an essential recommendation: place a white light in the bathroom sink to be able to do makeup. The lights are too low, and it isn't perfect for doing a make. It made me think of buying a portable makeup white light source. Here we go, Amazon, more shopping. The breakfast is plentiful and has a different selection. I'll send a shout-out to Eliza. She kept on filling stations with a great positive attitude. She was pleasant and energetic. Marriott is lucky to have her. People like her make many of us go back to the exact location.

Easy to get in and out of this hotel. Close to downtown, but we didn't have to deal with the downtown traffic. It is also close to I-91. Staff is very helpful. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is good. Lots of parking.

I stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Springfield Northampton/Amherst and overall it was okay, but there were several issues that really stood out. First, the bathroom maintenance was poor. The shower spout was loose and the sink faucet was in bad shape—things you don’t expect from a hotel at this level. Even worse, the pool was small, green, and completely unusable. It was honestly disgusting and a big disappointment because I had planned to swim. On the plus side, the bed itself was fairly comfortable if you’re a side sleeper, but it was very low and awkward to get out of. Unfortunately, it didn’t provide good support for stomach or back sleepers. The rest of the stay was fine, but with these maintenance issues and the unusable pool, it didn’t feel up to the usual Fairfield standard.

The hotel was quiet. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the pillow was not firm. It was very soft and uncomfortable. The shower was nice and hot. The hotel came with a free breakfast. The sausages were too salty and there were not enough healthy options like fruit and also nondairy options.
