Meier Lake was the perfect spot for our staff retreat of 24 people. The staff were hospitable and accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Marissa was easy to work with during planning. The downstairs gathering space very conducive to hanging out, playing games, and eating. The sauna was a huge hit. The rooms were dry cabins but super comfortable and clean. Would definitely recommend!

Love this place. Went with a friend a couple of weeks ago and could not wait to take my husband when he returned from moose hunting. I wanted him to get the 45 oz tomahawk ribeye. It did not disappoint. It was humongous and cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. The drinks and service were also topnotch. I just love the atmosphere so much!! Unlike many other venues, you can actually have a conversation and hear each other, even though there is pleasant music playing in the background.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful cabin by the lake, and I can’t recommend it enough. The setting was absolutely serene, nestled right on the waters edge with breathtaking views and peaceful surroundings. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. But what truly made the experience exceptional was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was polite, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. They went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a relaxing retreat with top-notch hospitality, this is the place.

The resort was an amazing experience. Alex greeted us upon arrival and showed us around the area and the cabin and shower house. We are a little concerned about the cabin being a dry cabin, but once we got there and viewed the amenities and the amazing views our concerns quickly melted away. The shower house is like stepping into your own spa for the day and is a very, very short walk from your cabin. If we are in the area again, we will definitely be staying at Meier Lake.

We had our wedding here 2 weeks ago and couldn't have been happier! This place was nothing short of amazing every step of the way during the planning process and absolutely phenomenal on the day of and after. This is a one stop shop for a magical Alaska wedding. The cabins for our out of state guests made arrangements simple, with the on site catering and bar, picking the menu and drinks was as easy as deciding what we wanted and asking them... done. The food was mind blowing, simple but elegant and delicious (exactly what we asked and still somehow better). The scenery... well it's breathtaking and impressed even our local friends. The staff was professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and on point with everything. We had to move the whole ceremony inside 15 min before the start due to rain. Not only was the space ready for that contingency, but the work to move everything was done so quickly that we still started on time. My new bride was happy and (relatively) stress free the whole weekend. I WAS IMPRESSED every step of the way. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

A Hidden Gem That Feels Like Your Own Private Resort Meier Lake Hotel is one of the most special places I’ve ever stayed. With only 12 cabins, the sense of seclusion and peace is unmatched—you truly feel like you’re the owner of your own private resort. Each cabin is beautifully appointed and nestled into the natural surroundings, offering comfort, privacy, and incredible views. The Social Club is a highlight—elegant yet cozy, it’s the perfect spot to relax, read, play games, or just take in the serene lake setting. It brings a warm sense of community, yet still maintains the tranquil ambiance that makes this place so unique. What sets Meier Lake apart even more is the presence of the owner on-site. You can feel the love and care in every detail, and it’s clear that this is more than just a hotel—it’s a passion project. The staff is warm, attentive, and truly dedicated to making your stay unforgettable. If you’re looking for a peaceful, luxurious escape where you can truly unplug and unwind, Meier Lake Hotel is it. I can’t wait to return.

had a wonderful stay at Meier Lake. The staff were consistently helpful, kind, and courteous, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The cabins were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The lake itself is peaceful and scenic—perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The Alaskana had top notch food and drink - I really enjoyed the bison burger! The disc golf course was one of the highlights of the property for me. It was a lot of fun. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful place to stay in Wasilla.

Stayed on our trip to alaska. They provided us with an excellent experience from check in to check out. Upon check in they were kind enough to provide extra space for our small travel trailer. The shower facilities felt amazing after a week on the road and in campgrounds. We shared the GIANT tomahawk steak for dinner and enjoyed their cocktail selection before taking a lap around their private pond on a small pedal boat. The following morning we took breakfast by the pond and campfire before resuming our journey. This place was meant as a simple stopover, but we now plan to make a return trip specifically to stay here, perhaps during the expanded winter schedule that is coming soon!

What a gem this place is! Absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. Cabins were clean and inviting, thoughtful amenities such as bathrobes and drinking water were appreciated, a morning tray of coffee/tea, fruit, yogurt and muffins was delivered…the bed was comfy. We attended a wine and seafood pairing and every morsel of food and drink was delicious! Above all, EVERY single person that works there is absolutely lovely, friendly and went out of their way to provide first class hospitality! I wish I knew all of your names because you all deserve recognition, but I only can remember Alex and our “fancy bartender” 🤣 We will be back!

I don’t leave many reviews but this place deserves one! Knowing I had a disc golf tournament here the wife and I decided hey let’s just stay up here instead of a hour drive and waking up super early. The staff when I called was super sweet when I told them about late check in, they are willing to work with you and try and make your experience the best experience. The views are incredible and honestly it does not really get the busy and is pretty silent all around. It does get hot in the rooms but other than that it was an amazing stay and I definitely plan on going back!
