Mario Golf is now available on Nintendo Switch Online

GamesBeat Summit 2022 returns with its biggest event for gaming leaders on April 26-28. Reserve your spot here!

The Nintendo Switch now has two Mario Golf games. You can get Mario Golf: Super Rush from 2021, which is a great entry into the series. But now you can also get Mario Golf from 1999, which originally debuted for Nintendo 64. As promised earlier, Nintendo has added it to its Nintendo Switch Online subscription service.

Of course, you need the more expensive level of Nintendo Switch Online to access N64 games. The $50-a-year Expansion Pack option now gets you a pretty hefty selection of late 90s/early 2000s classics for the Sega Genesis and N64. That’s in addition to the Super Nintendo and Nintendo Entertainment System games which are basically $20-a-year NSO tier.

Mario Golf marks the first time the Nintendo characters have interacted with each other – although Nintendo had a Golf game in 1985 that debuted alongside the NES. The series would later expand in 1999 with an RPG campaign featuring the Game Boy Color entry. This version of Mario Golf is more of a multiplayer or even party game built around playing golf with your friends.

And you can try it yourself from now on.
