Odisha Panchayat Election Results Live, Odisha Election Result 2022 Live Updates: On the third and final day of counting in 229 Zilla Parishad zones, the BJD is set to dominate the local body polls leading in 734 seats while the BJP being a distant second with 42 seats.

Mahavikas Aghadi constituent parties have emerged as the winner in several Nagar Panchayat elections from Sangli, Satara and Solapur districts.In Sangli, except Kadegaon town, MVA parties have bagged two-Kavathe Mahankal and Khanapur.

While the BJD decimated the rivals, the opposition BJP which performed very well in the previous 2017 panchayat elections in the districts of Mayurbbhanj, Kalahandi and Malkangiri, failed to retain the seats. The BJP, which had won 49 of 56 ZP seats in Mayurbhanj in the 2017 panchayat elections, failed to live up to its expectation.

Maharashtra BJP president Chandrakant Patil on Wednesday claimed that his party has emerged as the single largest political force in the state and can lead 24 nagar panchayats. Speaking to reporters, Patil claimed that the BJP has so far won more than 400 seats in the recent elections held for 106 nagar panchayats in the state.
