Not counting the Persona subseries, SMTV is the best-selling Megami Tensei game ever. Shin Megami Tensei IV, which was launched for the Nintendo 3DS, has sold over 600,000 copies.

The Megami Tensei games focus on complex turn-based combat and a demon negotiation system, which allows you to recruit enemies for your team. You can also merge demons into new allies.
