Job Description : | Overview: The Graphic Design Manager is responsible for the development of effective, high-impact designs, and publications that communicate to targeted audiences including both current and prospective dealers and current and prospective employees. The incumbent also is responsible for supporting an effective corporate brand standards to establish and maintain a positive corporate brand identity.
Responsibilities: JOB DUTIES
Manage the creation and development of effective designs and communication products targeted at various internal and external audiences, including team members, dealers, customers and investors
Develop high-impact advertising, sales promotion and recruiting materials using a combination of print/electronic/web collateral materials and special events
Manage direct reports in the creation of effective design products and provide creative direction
Manage the development and implementation of an effective GM Financial graphic standards and brand identity program
Perform other duties as assigned
Conform with all company policies and procedures
Qualifications: Knowledge
Experience in advertising, mass communication or related discipline
Working knowledge of organizational communication theory and practice
Working knowledge of creative design principles
Working knowledge of management processes such as planning and personnel administration
Skills
Exceptional graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
Strong management skills
Proficient in current Adobe Creative Cloud software including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat
Ability to work comfortably with PowerPoint, Keynote, Word and Excel
Working knowledge of HTML, basic web development
Ability to work seamlessly with customers, executives, vendors, and employees
Interpersonal skills to relate with staff at all levels throughout the company
Ability to understand GM Financial’s business, apply knowledge and critical thinking skills in day-to-day problems and solutions
Strong management skills with an ability to coach, lead, motivate, and influence others to support corporate goals and objectives
Ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple initiatives using effective time management skills
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent in related field or equivalent experience with a creative/marketing agency or in-house team required
Experience
7-10 years of experience with a creative/marketing agency or in-house team
