Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY:
To design and develop effective communication pieces for digital and traditional non-profit initiatives, reflecting a consistent brand image for BISSELL Pet Foundation (BPF). Support the BISSELL Pet Foundation in various efforts to create multi-media content, social media graphics, donor management and relations in addition to supporting the day-to-day operations of the foundation.
Responsibilities:
Position Profile:
Design pages and graphics for all BISSELL Pet Foundation websites.
Ensure the BPF website is up to date and perform and/or assist with website maintenance.
Design email communications and newsletters, working with copywriters and other members of the Communications team.
Create banner ads, pop-ups, and other media for web promotions.
Design print ads, end of year reports, brochures, collateral pieces, and other print pieces as required to support BPF initiatives.
Handle the communications, ordering, quoting, and proofing of printed collateral with the supplier.
Design social media posts, events and fundraising graphics, and other needed program touchpoints.
Design merchandise and manage the communication of ordering and proofing the merchandise with the supplier.
Work in conjunction with others, as needed, to ensure the consistent application of brand guidelines, tone and imagery.
With guidance, develop relevant and compelling messaging and content for value-added media opportunities.
Work to develop or assist in development of video and/or photographs highlighting BPF events and projects across the country.
Provide graphic design support as needed for corporate, marketing and sales-based initiatives including PR programs, special events, trade shows, etc.
Assist with the coordination of all foundation public events and fundraisers.
Assist with the day-to-day operations and organizational support as needed.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
Degree minimum: 4-year degree
Specific concentration: Graphic Design or Art
Experience level: 1+ years in a graphic design role
Exposure and knowledge of basic video production/editing and/or photography skills
Knowledge of Adobe create suite
Knowledge of Social Media platforms
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
Exposure or knowledge of website design
Prior experience with a donor database or similar software
SPECIALIZED TRAINING OR SKILLS REQUIRED:
Training in the use of Adobe Creative software suite and the latest html design practices
One to three years of graphic design experience (obtained through academic or professional activities).
Proficiency with Adobe Creative software suite, flash, html, and Microsoft Office suite.
Organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to complete tasks on time and within budget.
Excellent oral and written communications skills. Enthusiasm and passion for good work and continuous improvement. |
