| Job Description : | POSITION SUMMARY: As a member of the creative services team the graphic designer produces advertisements for the customers of our weekly, monthly and quarterly print publications and the online properties associated with those brands. In addition, the graphic designer provides creative support to the sales and marketing efforts of our business units. This position reports to the creative director and routinely interacts with the publication art directors, other graphic designers, account managers and marketing teams. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is able to work efficiently and effectively in a deadline-oriented environment, produce engaging creatives and provide superior customer service. We are looking for a part time graphic designer to fill in steadily for 20-25 hours a week for 12 weeks, starting in May 2022. Ideally, this person would be available some days in April for training purposes.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelops and designs print and online advertisements to effectively communicate the customer’s message.Develops all material including campaigns, logos and branding according to correct industry standards for production of print and online material.Consults and collaborates with sales and marketing to ensure execution of print and online communication needs.Troubleshoot technical and design issues while working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with tight deadlines.Develops, creates, edits and enhances images and provides all design elements required by client.Contributes to creative development and communications in meetingsCreates custom illustrations or other graphic elements as neededREQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree or equivalent in design, art, or illustration (experience may be substituted for formal education).One to three years experience in design concept and implementation for print and online.Proficiency and technical understanding of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.Ability to create high-quality design with minimum direction in a deadline-oriented environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong proofreading and editing skills to ensure the accuracy of the final product.COMPENSATION:$20/hour for 20-25 hours a week, for 12 weeksJob Types: Part-time, TemporaryPay: $20.00 per hourBenefits:Flexible scheduleSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:Masks are required in office when not at your desk.
